Mobi2Go Team & Investors enjoying a night on the red carpet.
We swapped out our Silicon Valley signature hoodies and trainers for suits and ties at the NZ Hi-Tech Awards in Wellington last Friday.
Now in its 21st year, the New Zealand Hi-Tech Awards celebrate the success of producers of goods and services from the software, electronics, telecommunications, mobile, agritech, creative and other hi-tech industries.
Judges reported that the calibre of this year’s entrants was at all-time high, making the job of selecting winners exceedingly challenging for the more than 50 local and international judges who assessed entrants across the 12 award categories. The 2015 Awards saw a record number of entries with over 150 organisations entering, many of them for the first time.
Nominated as a finalist in the UK Trade & Investment Innovative Hi-Tech Mobile Product, we were chuffed to rub shoulders with like minded, innovative Tech and SaaS businesses delivering products on a global scale. Tarik Mallett, Mobi2Go’s founder and CEO, is excited about how far Mobi2Go has come in the past few months and what’s in the pipeline for our restaurant, cafe, QSR and fast casual clients in the near future:
“When we entered the awards, we had six staff members. Now we have eleven. We’ve doubled in size in just three months. It’s a testament to the increasing global demand for our hospitality focussed online & mobile ordering software.”
Although we didn’t take out the award in our category (congrats to our friends at GeoZone), we did have an awesome time and feel honoured to be recognised as a market leader in the hi-tech mobile space.
For now, we’re back to work developing the best online and mobile ordering software for the hospitality industry in the world. With hoodies on our heads and brightly coloured trainers on our feet. Because you don’t need to wear a suit to #GSD at Mobi2Go.
See you next year NZ Hi-Tech Awards!
